Uganda – Governance, Civil Society, and Conflict Management Positions

- Fiscal Decentralization
- Local Taxation/User Fees
- Land Use Planning/Management
- Public Expenditure Tracking Systems Civil Society, Community Development, and Media
- Advocacy
- Organizational Development
- Civic Education
- CSO Board Development
- Civil Society Law
- Community Media
- New Media
- Community-Driven Development (CDD)
- Local Government Budget Monitoring Conflict Management
- Conflict Management and Peace-building
- Water Resources, Veterinary and Livelihood Strategies for Pastoral Communities
- Land Rights and Alternative Dispute Resolution
- Climate Change and Conflict Mitigation Qualifications:
- Experience working on local government, civil society strengthening, and conflict management programs
- Experience working on donor-funded development programs (USAID experience preferred)
- Relevant and recent experience in Uganda and/or region (Horn and East Africa)
- Experience in conflict/post-conflict environments
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred (in relevant field)
- Team player, willing to work closely with and under the direction of USAID
- Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of local languages highly desirable
