lringa Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (IRUWASA) is a Government Institution which has the duty of providing potable water and sanitation services at affordable prices to the residents of lringa Municipality for enhancing their health and quality of life. In order to achieve the compact objectives, IRUWASA now seeks applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians who are self-motivated, hardworking, honest and committed to their work to fill the following position:-

ICT OFFICER II
Reports to : Commercial Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
To coordinate the data synchronization activities between the engineering and the billing departments.
To research, plan and develop computer operating system.
To supervise the meter management and billing system data updating activities.
To conduct regular backups to safeguard Geographical Information System, billing and accounting database.
To update software's such as Geographical Information System, accounting and billing system.
Maintenance of all hardware and software devices.
To ensure computers/servers are free from computer viruses and have the required hardware specifications for optimal performance.
To troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
To install operating system and application software.
To maintain security in computer systems.
To install computer equipment and appliances.
To perform other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Academic Qualifications, Age Limit and Work Experience
University Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma majoring in Computer Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized higher learning Institution.
Work experience in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Age between 25 and 45 years.

Tenure of Appointment and Remuneration
According to IRUWASA Salary Scale : IWAS S
Appointment will be on contractual terms (Three years) renewable upon good work performance.
