HR Manager, Compensation & Benefits APAC

Position Description:

Based within Nokia’s Compensation & Benefits Function, you will work closely with Global C&B subject matter experts in e.g. base pay, variable pay, equity, benefits as well as Unit C&B and your other Regional C&B Managers. You’ll also be working closely with the APAC management team and HR colleagues to define and develop appropriate C&B approaches to support the local requirements for both the factory and office-based populations. You will be the expert and “go to” person for compensation and benefits programs in this geography ensuring alignment of the compensation and benefits frameworks locally.   You will also have the opportunity to work on global programs depending on your qualifications, capability, passions and get-up-and-go. Knowing when to push for innovation in your market versus when to promote a global view locally.   What we’ll hold you accountable for: Managing global C&B concepts and programs, including Annual Salary & Equity Planning, in the region in line with Global C&B schedules. Primary contact for Region HR and Region Leadership Team on C&B programs. Providing a global perspective to local C&B issues and proactively supporting Regional LT’s by finding appropriate C&B solutions for diverse populations. Driving successful relationship and supporting Regional HRC on Compensation & Benefits delivery within global framework. Ensuring relevant C&B knowledge within HR Central and supporting Manager training. Building business cases for the development of country benefits, using external market data, while maintaining a commercial and cost based focus.  Building recommendations including analysis, legal review and Country Management input. Delivering approved recommendations to HR Central and providing support to HRC during rollout and implementation phase. Monitoring the regional usage of  Global guidelines, elevating issues where appropriate - finding workable solutions which allows the business to utilize compensation & benefits effectively to recruit/retain talent Providing local input to Global C&B projects, anticipating and highlighting potential changes. Supporting  and where appropriate leading, global projects/activities Actively cooperating with other C&B colleagues as part of a Global Market Analysis project to contribute at different stages of market analysis, budget development, creation of pay structures and merit matrices. Ensuring alignment with Resourcing in the Region. Training recruiters with required level of Compensation and Benefits competence and working to ensure recruitment of key roles (competitive/ compelling packages every time). Working to ensure Nokia brand and alignment across Units within Region. Proactively gaining relevant & up-to date external market intelligence for the Region including trends, insights, survey ownership & participation. Utilization of data for business insight and feedback loop to Global C&B on competitiveness.         Reporting Relationships: HR Director, Global Compensation and Benefits with direction of day to day activities aligned with Region HR Head.

Qualifications

 *BA or BS degree in economics, business administration or other field which uses quantitative analysis (MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus).
* 8+ years of professional compensation and benefits expertise in an International environment with demonstrated ability to achieve through influence in a complex networked environment.
* Inquisitive, Analytical mind/understanding.
* Strong communicator in English
* Excellent presentation and influencing skills. * Business acumen.
* Project management and vendor management experience.
* Generalist HR experience desired.
* Excellent analysis, data management skills, and use of related tools such as SharePoint, Excel, compensation databases. SAP experience a plus.

Requirements:

* Travel required within APAC as well as attendance at Global meetings (max 25%)
* Flexible schedule to accommodate participation in global meetings.
