TA to the SADC Secretariat – Institutional Capacity Development Programme (ICDP)
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) currently comprises fifteen Member States in Southern Africa, with a combined population of approximately 260 million. The overall objective of this project is to promote equitable economic growth and sustainable socio-economic development in the SADC region. The ICDP is a capacity development programme, which responds to the specific capacity needs in the SADC Secretariat. Through 6 Long Term Advisers/Key Experts (LTA/KE) and Short Term Experts (STE – up to 1550 working days), support is being provided to the Secretariat to implement a change management strategy which will form the foundation of the other capacity building activities covering planning, research, monitoring and evaluation, improved financial management, strengthening human resources management, procurement, information and communication technology as well as management of EDF resources.

All nationalities are eligible to apply but experts must be willing to work in Botswana and able to travel in the SADC member states.

Additional Information:

The project duration is 3 years (started in May 2013). The TL will be employed for approximately 600 working days over a thirty six (36) calendar month period.
