COCODA is a local NGO which implementing Sauti Program that is a
USAID-funded initiative to improve the health of all Tanzanians through a
sustained reduction in new HIV infections in support of the Government
of the United Republic of Tanzania. Sauti uses vulnerability-tailored
evidence-based interventions to bring high-quality HIV prevention, HIV
adherence support, and family planning promotion and service delivery to
key and vulnerable populations (KVPs) in selected regions of mainland
Tanzania.
COCODA is seeking a competed staffs to fills various position in Wanging’ombe district in Njombe region to Conduct preparatory and local governance activities including ward level sensitization meetings and community mapping of hotspots, beneficiary hang-outs, and other partners and resources working in the assigned wards/districts; hold quarterly ward-level meetings.
Deliver community-based behavior change communication activities designed to specifically address the HIV and family planning vulnerabilities of men who have sex with men (MSM) and female sex workers (FSW) and address gender norms, in the program communities.
Create demand for and actively refer MSM, FSW and other vulnerable populations to community-based HIV testing and counseling services “plus” (CBHTC+), support groups, and economic strengthening activities; and assist with tracking and tracing of individuals who are HIV+ and/or GBV survivors.
Operate drop in centers (DIC) where FSW, MSM, and those engaging in transactional sex and other vulnerable to HIV populations can receive biomedical, behavioral and structural services.
Implement routine M&E and assist with research activities as required.

Job overview:
Works in collaboration with the other members of the mobile CBHTC+ team (and regional and district authorities) to offer high quality CBHTC+ services (HIV counseling and testing, family planning services, screening and referral for STIs, gender-based violence, TB, alcohol and drug use, linkages and adherence support for HIV care and treatment) to clients in their assigned region.
Required Qualifications:
• Must be a licensed nurse, nurse/midwife, clinical officer, assistant medical officer or medical officer in good standing.
• Experience working with populations at high risk for HIV, conducting outreach testing, and/or in provider initiated counseling and testing, and family planning services, desirable.
• Experience establishing linkages from HIV testing and counseling to HIV care and treatment services.
• Must be willing to be based in assigned district with extensive (weekly) travel.
• Must be willing to work off and unusual hours, and travel up to 70% of the time.
• Must be physically fit to assist with set up and break down of services in sites.
• Must demonstrate self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability)
• Must be highly flexible to accept dual roles and extra tasks as assigned by the site coordinator.
• Additional experience with community counselling, mobile HTC, GBV is desirable.
