ROAD LICENSING AND MONITORING OFFICER II (Head Office) - 5 Posts -REF No. 801
Road Licensing and Monitoring Officer II reports to Manager, Road Licensing & Monitoring.
Duties and Responsibilities
To register and license commercial vehicles;
To evaluate the scope of services to be rendered;
To conduct reviews/surveys in order to assess the supply and demand for cargo and passenger services;
To keep proper and up to date record of data/information of the road services providers with a view to providing technical inputs for regulation of tariff, fares and setting maximum levels of same;
To keep proper record of timetable for passenger vehicles and ensuring that they are adhered to;
To evolve codes of conduct for the road service providers and consumers; and set enforcement mechanisms including penalties for defaulters;
To constantly monitor activities of road service providers with a view to appraising Management on their performance.
To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Minimum qualifications and Requirements'
Holder of degree or Advanced Diploma in Transport Management or Economics, Commerce or Marketing.
At least 3 years working experience, in road transport related field, two (2) of which in road transport management;
Possess basic knowledge in Information and Communication Technology (lCT) applications
Good communication and team playing skills.
Registered with Transport Professional Body will be an added advantage.

Senior Road Licensing And Monitoring Officer (Head Office) - 2 Posts -Ref No. 802
Senior Road Licensing and Monitoring Officer reports to Manager, Road Licensing & Monitoring.
Duties and Responsibilities
To assist on all technical and safety matters related to transport regulation.
To review developed technical, safety and environmental regulation standards.
To review how standards are enforced by following up mandatory vehicle inspections
To review individual objectives/targets and performance standards developed as part of the
individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate. superior.
To review developed quality standards for passenger services before being enforced.
To undertake accident investigations in collaboration with other stakeholders
Minimum qualifications and Requirements
Holder of at least a degree in Transport Management, Economics, Commerce or Marketing.
At least five (5) years working experience in the field of transport / automobile mechanical engineering or road safety and vehicle inspection.
Good communication and team playing skills.
Possess good knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (lCT) applications .
Registered with Transport Professional Body and Postgraduate Studies in Transport.
