Our client is a leading multinational infrastructure and engineering firm with expansion plans for the African region. We are looking for a competent Head of Business Development for Region Africa to be responsible for the P&L and to develop this market for the organization. Key priorities include growing and promoting heavily on the company’s products and services to build a strong network for the organization. It is critical to strategise, plan and execute business plans to tender and win major concessions for the company. Client is keen to focus on the infrastructure transport sector in Africa. This is a key appointment for the management. This position also has to work and collaborate closely with external and internal key stakeholders and partners to work hand in hand on the tenders, bids and concessions. This position also leads an internal team on due diligence and viability studies on different types of projects.
It is important to understand the PPP/BOT structure for this industry and market. Good technical expertise and financial skills are necessary for the projects. Ability to work and balance priorities among multiple projects and provide good leadership/direction to engineers etc. Ability to build networks with government authorities, multilateral agencies and financial institutions. Effective business development skills with high Integrity and EQ. The ability to work across different cultures and nationalities is critical.
Preferably MBA with an engineering background with at least 8 to 10 years of experiences in the African region. Location will be in Kenya.
