1.0 TANZANIA ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION (TAEC)
The Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC) is a Regulatory Commission established under the Atomic Energy Act No. 7 of 2003, which became effective on 1st July 2004. The Commission has been mandated to regulate and supervise the use of Atomic Energy and Nuclear Technology so as to protect workers, patients, the public and the environment from harmful effects of both Ionizing and Non-Ionizing Radiation. Further to this TAEC has been mandated to co-ordinate and facilitate the promotion of Nuclear Technology and the safe and peaceful utilization of Atomic Energy
1.1 SENIOR RADIATION HEALTH PHYSICS RESEARCH OFFICER L
1 POST-(RE-ADVERTISED)
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out a routine study to identify priority areas for research in the field of dosimetry for dose optimization in Ionizing Radiation practices;
• Design and implement a research programme, and facilitate the dissemination or use of the research outputs;
• Provide consultancy services for safety analysis and assessment in support of authorization services particularly of practices being introduced for the first time;
• Supervise/assist junior staff in the activities of the section;
• Identify training needs of specific radiation protection in the section;
• Prepare document and implement a quality assurance and quality control programme and manual;
• Participate in international annual (e.g. IAEA) protection and therapy level postal TL-dose intercomparisons;
• Participate in International (e.g. IAEA) or regional protection and therapy level intercomparisons for ion chamber calibration and measurements;
• Seek and work for the laboratory accreditation or certification with reputable laboratories in the field; and maintain such accreditation;
• Design and implement follow-up programme for over exposed workers;
• Upgrade dosimetry Laboratory and related equipment and facilities through acquisition of equipment and consumables or refurbishment;

• Candidates must have published at least three scientific publications after Masters Degree
• Holders of Masters Degrees with working experience of at least six years after Masters Degree and published at least four scientific publications after Masters Degree will be slotted in PRSS 6.

• Provides advice to radiation safety officer’s liaison with other institutions.
• Responsible for dosimetry and calibration of radiation measuring systems and interpretation of results.

2.0 EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE (EASTEC)
The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), which was established in 1965, is an accredited Higher Learning Institution whose commitment and mandate is to offer training, research and consultancy programmes and services in Official Statistics. As an academic discipline, Official Statistics is collection and processing of data into statistical information which is disseminated to help users who are policy analyst and Decision makers in their national economic and social development programmes.
To respond to user demands, EASTC offers courses in Official Statistics at Certificate, Diploma and Degree levels. Currently it is serving eighteen countries (18) from Eastern and Southern Africa, whose statistical manpower demands are increasing year by year. To respond to these manpower demands EASTC has to train more Official Statisticians. EASTC is therefore inviting potential candidates to apply for the following posts at EASTC.

The Local Government Training Institute (LGTI) is a higher learning institution under the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG). The institute was established by Act of Parliament No 26 of 1994, as a body corporate, to provide training, research, advisory and consultancy services in the fields of local government finance, administration and management. As such, the institute falls under the subject sector of Business and Management. The said subject sector includes Accountancy, Financial Management, Materials
Management, Human Resource Management Law, and other related subjects.
3.1 TECHNICIAN II (PLUMBING) - 1 POST- (RE-ADVERTISED)
3.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the identification of plumbing and sewerage problems;

4.1.1 REPORTS TO: State Attorney In-charge of the Region or District as the case may be.
4.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide legal opinion in respect of simple criminal cases under the Supervision of State Attorney In-charge,
• Conduct prosecutions of cases in District courts, Resident Magistrate and the High Courts,

5.1 INSTITUTE OF FINANCE MANAGEMENT (IFM)
The Institute of Finance Management was established by Act No. 3 of 1972 to provide training, research and consultancy services in the fields of banking, insurance, social protection, taxation, accountancy and related disciplines.
5.1 PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER GRADE I – 1 POST
5.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collects and compiles information which shall assist in the preparation of Annual reports, booklets, speeches, prospectus etc.
• Liaises with the mass media on press matters relating to IFM
• Ensure proper recording and filing of press cuttings for public relations and Responses.

5.3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attends to telephone calls and takes messages and ensures prompt delivery to the concerned;

3.0 THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT TRAINING INSTITUTE (LGTI)
The Local Government Training Institute (LGTI) is a higher learning institution under the Prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG). The institute was established by Act of Parliament No 26 of 1994, as a body corporate, to provide training, research, advisory and consultancy services in the fields of local government finance, administration and management. As such, the institute falls under the subject sector of Business and Management. The said subject sector includes Accountancy, Financial Management, Materials
Management, Human Resource Management Law, and other related subjects.
3.1 TECHNICIAN II (PLUMBING) - 1 POST- (RE-ADVERTISED)
3.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the identification of plumbing and sewerage problems;
• Carries out specified tasks connected with installations and maintenance of plumbing and sewerage systems of the Institute;
• Assist senior staff in the relevant fields or operation; and
• Perform other duties assigned by his / her supervisor.
3.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Full Technician Certificate (FTC) Course in Plumbing or Diploma Course in Plumbing from recognized Institution.
• Experience of a minimum of 2 years in that carrier.
3.1.3 REMUNERATION

3.2 DRIVER GRADE II – 1 POST
3.2.1 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring motor vehicles and their accessories are in good condition.
• Drive Motor Vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and tools.
• Maintain and records log books for all journeys made.
• Collect mail, dispatching documents.
• Reporting promptly any defects or problems detected in the vehicle.
• Perform other duties assigned by his/her supervisor.
3.2.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Holders of Form IV Certificate, Trade Test II/CBET II of motor vehicle mechanics and plus class “C” driving license with a clean driving experience of at least three years.

4.1 ATTORNEY GENERAL’S CHAMBERS
4.2 STATE ATTORNEY II -(RE-ADVERTISED)- 25 POSTS
4.1.1 REPORTS TO: State Attorney In-charge of the Region or District as the case may be.
4.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide legal opinion in respect of simple criminal cases under the Supervision of State Attorney In-charge,
• Conduct prosecutions of cases in District courts, Resident Magistrate and the High Courts,
• Handle appeals in the High Court,
• Provide Legal opinion/advice to the government on legal issues or matters under the supervision of State Attorney In-charge,
• Conduct legal research on various Legal issues or matters, and
• Advise the government on any issues or matter of a civil nature
• Represent the Government in courts of law and tribunal in any suit or matter to which the Government is a party or has interest and.
• Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by a State Attorney In-charge.
4.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor degree in Laws from recognized Institution.
• Must have completed and passed the Internship or externship programme supervised by the Attorney General’s Chambers or Legal Practical training conducted by the Law School of Tanzania.
• Fluent in English & Kiswahili Languages.

5.1 INSTITUTE OF FINANCE MANAGEMENT (IFM)
The Institute of Finance Management was established by Act No. 3 of 1972 to provide training, research and consultancy services in the fields of banking, insurance, social protection, taxation, accountancy and related disciplines.
5.1 PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER GRADE I – 1 POST
5.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collects and compiles information which shall assist in the preparation of Annual reports, booklets, speeches, prospectus etc.
• Liaises with the mass media on press matters relating to IFM
• Ensure proper recording and filing of press cuttings for public relations and Responses.
• Assists in organizing official functions and tours for the Institute’s visitors
• Receives visitors and Board members and arranges, for their hotel accommodation
• Draft replies to general correspondences directed to the Institute.
5.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Holder of a University degree or equivalent qualification in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relation or equivalent qualification from a recognized higher Learning Institution with at least 5 years relevant work experience in similar position. Or Master degree in Public Relation, Mass Communication, Administration, and Management from a recognized University.
5.1.3 REMUNERATION
This position holds salary scale of PGSS 12/13 and other fringe benefits as per Institute’s incentive scheme.
5.2 SUPPLIES OFFICER GRADE I – (2 POSTS) 5.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists in establishing stock levels and timely replacements of stocks.
• Prepares purchase requisitions/orders upon approval by his/her superior.
• Receives and issues vouchers, delivery notes and invoices.
• Responsible for the safety and accounting of all stocks in the store;
• Responsible for purchasing process of approved regulations.
5.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Holder of first degree or equivalent qualification in Material Management from recognized higher learning Institutions with CSP or equivalent qualifications with at least five years relevant work experience or holder of a relevant Master degree plus CSP.
5.2.3 REMUNERATION
• This position holds salary scale of PGSS 13/14 and other fringe benefits as per Institute’s incentive scheme.
5.3 PERSONAL SECRETARY GRADE I - 1 POSTS
5.3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works for the Heads of a Department;
• Sorts out files in order of urgency before giving them to the office concerned for actions;
• Drafts business letters, types and dispatches them as may be directed by the Officer working for;
• Attends to telephone calls and takes messages and ensures prompt delivery to the concerned;
• Ensures filing of all the copies of correspondences coming to or going out of the office are property done;
• Prepares documentation and organize logistics and administrative matters for meetings and conferences.
5.3.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with a one year certificate in secretarial studies with five years relevant work experience or holder of an Ordinary Diploma in Secretarial studies from recognized institutions with three years work experience.

5.4 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE I – 1 POST
5.4.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Retrieves documents, files and other types of records for use by relevant officers;
• Maintains proper records of incoming and outgoing files and documents.
• Analyzes lists, put labels and arranges documents/files in classified indexes in different categories;
• Puts records/documents/files in file racks/cabinets in registry;
• Put records (letters, minutes etc) in appropriate files and repositories.
5.4.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education with a one year certificate in records Management with five (5) years work experience or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education who has obtained a Certificate in Records Management or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions with three years work experience or Ordinary Diploma in records Management from recognized institution with three years work Experience.
5.4.3 REMUNERATION

5.5 RECEPTIONIST GRADE I – 1 POSTS
5.5.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collects and compiles information for internal directory
• Ensures proper recording and filing of staff particulars in the internal telephone and office directory
• Attends visitors, messages and direct them accordingly;
• Receive visitors, messages and direct them accordingly;
• Liaise with Estate Office for repair of telephone lines which are out of order
• Operates switch boards with at least 50 extensions
5.5.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education with a one year certificate in telephone operation or front desk/reception administration or equivalent qualifications from recognized Institution with at least (5) years work experience in similar position or holder of an Ordinary Diploma in telephone operation, tourism, public relation or equivalent qualifications from recognized Institution with at least three years relevant work experience.
