DRIVER JOBS AT Tanzania Revenue Authority

Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) was established under the Tanzania Revenue Authority Act No.11 Of 1995.The Authority is a semi-autonomous agency of the: Government responsible for the administration of the Central Government taxes as well as several non-tax revenues. TRA is currently implementing its Fourth Corporate Plan whose vision is to ‘Increase Revenue to GDP ratio to 19.9 by 2018

TRA would like to recruit dynamic experienced and quallfiedpersonnel to fill vacaht positions in the Human Resources & Administration Department.Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Tanzanians for the following positions:

2.0 DRIVERS
2.1. Purpose of the Job”

To drive TRA’s motor vehicles and conduct deliveries

2.2. Major Activities of the Job
i. Carry out a daily inspection of the vehicle and ensure safe driving.
ii. Maintain the car log book by recording all trips and fuel consumption.
iii. Prepare fuel, oil and car logbook returns for the vehicle.
iv. Report to the supervisor any vehicle defects that need repairs.
v. Distribution of internal and external mails.
vi. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor

2.3. Minimum Job Requirements
2.3.1 Qualification
I. Applicants for the position must, have an Ordinary Level Education Certificate (Form IV) with a clean Class Cl, C2,C3,or EDriving Licence in the new licensing system.
ii. Having a Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics from VETA or a Trade Test Grade II in Automobile Enqineerinq from a recognised Institution or a Certificate in Motor Vehicle Driving  from the National Institute of Transport,
will be an added advantage.

2.3.2. Experience . .
The applicant must have at least five years driving experience, two of which must be in either of the above mentioned classes.

3.0 GENERAL
Applicants MUST be ready to work anywhere in the United Republic of Tanzania.
