Title: Fund Manager

Based at: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania,

Reporting to: Board of Trustees

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our client is an organization that was established to improve student’s enrolment and gender balances at one of the Institution’s in Tanzania.

1.0 FUND MANAGER

The Fund Manager shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Water Technicians’ Fund on such

Terms and conditions as the Board may specify.

1.1.2 Direct Entry Qualifications:

·         A good postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration and/or Economics,

·         Must have postgraduate working experience of not less than 10 years in a reputable institution with a clear record of competence to manage efficiently and effectively the affairs of a fund,

·         Must command national and international recognition in his/her respective specialty,

·         Must have the ability to provide the dynamic leadership required to successfully run an

·         Organization staffed by highly trained personnel.

1.1.3 Duties and Responsibilities:

The Fund Manager is responsible for the day to day functions and activities. In addition, the

Fund Manager shall:-

·         Issue operational guidelines to Trustees.

·         Be the Secretary to the Board of Trustees.

·         Establish an effective Management Team of the organization and ensure there is adequate staffing in departments.

·         Build appropriate infrastructure in terms of technical and other resources to sustain the service and functions.

·         To formulate and evaluate implementation of annual work plans for the organization.

·         Ensure there is effective service in terms of output from the company plans and services delivery.

·         Ensure identification and development of new investments and ways of optimizing resources.

·         Be the Accounting Officer of the organization.

·         Ensure smooth linkages with the Institute and other key and important stakeholders,

·         Perform any other duties assigned by the Board.
