Womankind Worldwide is a highly respected and distinctive organisation dedicated to championing the rights of women and empowering them to transform their lives. We are committed to bringing an end to violence against women and girls, increasing women’s civil and political participation and attaining equal access to and control over economic resources. We help to change millions of women’s lives by building the capacity of our 47 local partners across Africa, Asia and Latin America, and by working collectively with them to influence the policies and practices of government and non-governmental organisations.
We are looking for a new Chief Executive with the passion and ability to inspire and lead the organisation. Grounded in practical experience in the field, the Chief Executive will be a seasoned leader with a commitment to women’s rights, able to mobilise resources and galvanise others to engage with the fundamental issues of gender equality in the countries where we work.
Our new Chief Executive will be able to provide visionary and strategic leadership whilst overseeing organisational growth and programme effectiveness. They will further enhance the position and influence of Womankind Worldwide as a leading women’s rights and development organisation through building strategic partnerships at a grass roots level to create systemic and sustainable change.
Working with an ambitious and engaged Board and a highly dedicated staff team, the Chief Executive will increase Womankind Worldwide’s capacity to support a global community of women shaping their own futures and enhancing the future prospects of their communities.
The role will be based in London and the salary will be competitive with market rate and negotiable depending upon experience.
