Summary Description
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Compensation & Benefits Director is responsible for the: planning, design, administration, compliance, and communication of the foundation's compensation and benefits plans/programs (e.g. executive and employee compensation, healthcare, retirement, deferred compensation, etc.); ensuring the programs meet the needs of a diverse workforce, are competitive, cost effective and align the cost to the foundation with the value delivered to employees
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in business administration, finance or other related field
• 15 years of progressive experience in employee benefits with at least seven years in a management role, complemented by experience in employee and executive compensation
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
• Exceptional judgment, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple and often competing projects simultaneously
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to relate well to all levels of management, staff, retirees, consultants, insurance carriers and other vendors
• Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and partnering skills
• Ability to lead, manage and develop a high performing, results oriented team
• Strong interest in and commitment to the Ford Foundation's mission and core values.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or other graduate degree.
• Professional designation such as CBP or CEBS
