For our Head Office in Amsterdam we are looking for a

Specialist Application, Process and Information Management “With an eye for both systems and their users”

Per 1 July 2012, 32-40 hours per week

As a Specialist Application, Process and Information Management (SAPIM) you optimize the efficiency of the organization by optimizing and automating business processes and access to information for all functional areas in War Child by using Management information systems. The SAPIM is first responsible for development and architecture, innovation/improvement and management and running of the Management Information System (MIS). MIS is the umbrella under which most business processes throughout all functional areas within War Child are automated.

The SAPIM is part of the department Information at the Head Office and reports to the Manager Information.

Key responsibilities  Business analyses, processes and information management;  Management, optimalisation and maintenance of the MIS;  Development and implementation of new functionalities of the MIS;  User assistance and training.

Challenges for 2012 are the optimalisation of our Project Administration System (PAS) in the field, a review of our field systems including a proposal for the longer term, and marketing and fundraising in relation to our CRM.

Your profile As the ideal candidate you have an educational background in Business Administration in combination with ICT and at least 3 years working experience in a comparable position, preferable with an international NGO. You have a good understanding of complex and various business processes throughout the organization in various disciplines (hr, marketing, finance, projects, log frames etc.). Experience with implementation of (large) software (database) systems and in working with object oriented databases (preferably experience with Pluriform). You have strong social and communicative skills and speak two ‘languages’: the user and the developer language. You recognize yourself in being customer oriented, autonomic, pro-active and having a helicopter view. Fluency in Dutch and English required (verbal and written).
