Implementers will be asked to work in an iterative fashion with the UNICEF country office, Ministries, and partners to clarify needs, build custom functionality, work with other developers, and conduct trainings for country personnel.
The ideal candidate will be willing to work within the constraints of information technology in rural areas (low bandwidth, thin clients, etc). Final projects need to be lightweight and simple. Issues of translation of interfaces need to be taken into account. An open source philosophy is required

Required Knowledge & Skills
* Academic Qualifications
o Degree in computer science or other engineering field
* Work Experience
o Has experience in the designed of mobile solutions for case management
o Has a history of successful project delivery
o Demonstrated leadership in the roles of requirements gathering, product design, project management, training as well as the set up of support systems.
* Specialised Expertise
o Experience in the community health setting an advantage
o Experience in the Malawian setting an advantage
