Fixed term from 11 August to 9 September 2011.

We are looking for well-qualified and experienced tutors of English to work in the Department of Modern Languages as part of a team of academics and tutors teaching on our pre-sessional courses, to be added to our pool of EFL tutors and to potentially be employed to cover the period of 11 August 2011 to 9 September 2011.
Applicants should have a first degree as well as a postgraduate qualification in English Language Teaching to Adults (Cambridge or Trinity), preferably to diploma level. Applicants should also have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of teaching in a university environment, particularly English for Specific Purposes (English for Academic Purposes or English for Business, for example). They should also have excellent IT skills as well as language and communication skills.
The role involves teaching up to 19 contact hours per week, attending staff meetings, communicating well with the team, keeping up with administrative duties, and reporting to the appropriate Programme Director to ensure that the course runs smoothly.

Salary range: £30,870 - £35,789 pa, pro rata
