STAMIGOLD Company Limited - Biharamulo Mine is a subsidiary company of the State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) operating a gold mine. The Mine is located in the Biharamulo Forest Reserve, South West of Mwanza in Kagera Region. In order to run the mine effectively and efficiently, the Company invites applications fromqualified candidates to fill the existing vacancy as detailed below: -

Work Station: Biharamulo Mine Site

Work Roster: 6/3(42 days on, 21 days off)

Contract Duration: Not Exceeding one year subject to renewal

BOILERMAKER-cum-FITTER (1)

THE ROLE:

The Boilermaker-cum-fitter will be reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor and will be aligning structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks, Fitter duties, Rubber lining, Hot and cold splicing or vats, following blueprints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To ensue that equipment is maintained to the highest level

Prioritization of breakdowns in timely and accurate manner

Reading, understanding and applying information from technical manual prints and schematics

Maintaining workshop supplies and tools

Educating customers on preventive maintenance and safety regulations and providing general customer service

Maintaining records of services and providing a report on a paperwork

Other duties in line with this job title as assigned by the Supervisor

Able to complete tasks in a timely manner at international standards

Able to promote safe work practice at workplace

Must have a valid Tanzanian Driving Licence

QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade qualifications, FTC/Trade test Grade 1, 2 or 3 on Fabrication/Boilermaker and Fitter mechanics.

Post trade Studies-Engineering/Maintenance Trade

A minimum of three years' experience in the mining industry

Rubber lining, Hot and Cold splicing as additional skill and advantage for the candidate.

PLANT OPERATOR (3)
THE ROLE
Plant operator will be reporting to Operations Shift Supervisor, must perform required tasks associated with the operation and monitoring of plant processes and equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner according to established operating procedures, metallurgical guidelines and plant management directives.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations of Gold Processing Circuit such as, crushing, grinding, carbon leach (CIL), elution, thickener and tailings circuit.
Other duties in line with your job as assigned by the Supervisor
Complies with the highest level of safety at work place and site to avoid any type of accidents.
Report all operating problems to the Shift Supervisor
Report all hazards to the shift Supervisor.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

BSc in Mineral Processing, or any Engineering degree, FTC/Trade test grade 1 in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
Three years' experience in Gold Mining Industry will be an added advantage.
