JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of health services
Job Purpose:
To oversee and coordinate the quality assurance aspects of the Social franchise programme in network and
outreach teams and provide technical support to the zonal and regional staff in the field as needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Planning
Contribute to development and regular updates of quality assurance (QA) plan for
Tanzania.
Develop strong knowledge of quality improvement mechanisms in order to suggest
improvements to QA systems
Ensure that all relevant team members involved with quality improvement are
familiar with the plan, including field staff (outreach and network) and partners
(network providers, hired providers)
Develop detailed QA implementation plan & schedule related activities at all levels
Develop adequate material for briefing internal and external stakeholders on QA
issues as needed
Follow strategies defined in QA plan to ensure compliance by internal staff and
external partners (providers, owners) with the PSI QA standards within the SF
Program
Develop system to help field teams prepare their supervisory schedule in line with
providers performance and needs and ensure it is used as a planning tool
Ensure zonal QA coordinators have clear objectives and action plans at each
supervisory visit
Develop database of all referral doctors used by PSI including qualifications,
contact details, training background, certification
Ensure referral doctors are trained on PSI procedures and report on AE and
complications adequately
Actively oversee MCs and support RCH services implementation
Assists in setting MBOs to MCs. Provides feedback to the semi-annual and annual
performance appraisals.
JOB TITLE: Zonal Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Zonal Operations
LOCATION: Mbeya
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the implementation of the Annual Monitoring and Evaluation plan in the respective PSI
Tanzania zone. The position holder will ensure data collection tools are available in all sites; and supervise
data entry to be done on time. The position also requires data collected and entered into PSI Tanzania
databases is of high quality. Importantly, is to inculcate the culture of data use for decision making at zonal
level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Implementation of the M & E annual plan
In collaboration with M&E Coordinator at Headquarters, the position requires to ensure
implementation of the M&E activities are carried out on time as stipulated in the annual plan
Provide feedback to the Head of zone and other staff at the monthly meetings on program
progress in their respective zones
2. Support implementation of the PSI data use strategy at zone level
Conduct various data analysis to inform head of zone on which decision to take as evidenced by
data
Perform monitoring visits to sub-grantees for verification and clarification of the submitted data
3. Conduct data quality assessment at zone level
Conduct data quality assessment (DQA) for the data reported at HQ to identify gaps and
improvement areas
Develop training plans and budget to support rolling out of PSI MIS to its partners.
Provide M&E support to other zonal staff in case of trouble shooting for MIS system
4. Ensure timely data entry for all programs into DHIS2 and other databases
Supervise implementation of the PSI Tanzania SOPs related to research and data management.
Supervize data entry into respective databases of all monitoring data; and as well ensure active
participation on PSI research related activities within his/her zone
