Tetra Tech is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) / Training Specialist candidates for a USAID-funded project in South Sudan. The project will provide engineering designs of rural roads, quality assurance of construction standards, and capacity building in road maintenance. The candidate will be based in Juba, South Sudan.
Responsibilities: The DCOP will be responsible for assisting the COP in managing the design team and will also be responsible for capacity building and all training of the project. More specifically, the candidate will have to identify training and capacity building needs at the Ministry of Roads and Bridges, the States, and the South Sudan Roads Authority and then design trainings.
Qualifications: • Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or a related field; • Demonstrated experience in capacity building in the transportation sector; • Have at least 5 years of professional experience working in Sub Sahara Africa; • Demonstrated experience working on donor-funded projects; experience on USAID-funded projects preferred; • Experience identifying and developing training materials; • Very strong interpersonal and communications skills; and • Fluency in written and spoken English required.
