Watumishi Housing Company (WHC) is a 'public entity responsible for the implementation of the Public Servants Housing Scheme (PSHS) and management of Watumishi Housing Company Real Estate Investment Trust (WHC -REIT). Shareholders of WHC and the financiers of the PSHS are National Social Security Fund (NSSF), PPF Pensions Fund (PPF), Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF), LAPF Pensions Fund (LAPF). FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT
Records Management Officer - One Post
Duty Station: WHC Head Office Dar es Salaam
Reporting to: Senior information Communication Technology (lCT) Officer
Salary Grade: 6
Records Management Officer will be primarily responsible for management all aspects of the registry functions, which includes both electronic and physical open and confidential registry to support company's real estate development, fund management and administrative operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain appropriate registry system which include both electronic and physical open and confidential registry; .'
Control receipts and recording of incoming mails/documents;
Retrieve and circulate records/documents and files as may be required by users;
Open and close files as need arises in accordance with the classified system;
Analyse, list and arrange records/documents in the respective file racks/cabinets in the registry; ,
Keep, maintain and make use of the file movement register so. as to track files or other records through the adopted tracking, system;
Appraise and prepare checklist for dormant records prior to electronic archive; and
Undertake any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and experience.
Possession of Diploma in Records management, Media Science or Library Science from a recognized institution.
Possession of Bachelor Degree in Records Management, Media
Science or Library Science from a recognized institution will be an added Advantage.
Knowledge and Competence in Information and Communications Technology (lCT) application.
Possession of at least three (3) years work experience in the field in a reputable organization.
