Public Service Recruitment Secretariat invites qualified Tanzanians to fill 12 vacant posts in the above Public Institution.

1.0 EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE (EASTC)
The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), which was established in 1965, is an accredited Higher Learning Institution whose commitment and mandate is to offer training, research and consultancy programmes and services in Official Statistics.
As an academic discipline, Official Statistics is collection and processing of data into statistical information which is disseminated to help users who are policy analyst and Decision makers in their national economic and social development programmes.
1.1 ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER II- (STUDENTS’ LOAN OFFICER)-
1 POST
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow up on Students’ Loan matters;
• Act as a program Officer of departments;
• Administer Students Loan Office;
• Handle students’ welfare matters related to Higher Education
Students Loan Board and any other Sponsoring organization such as Meals and Accommodation allowances, Tuition fees, Field work allowances and Research Allowances;
• Handle all matters related to processing of Residence Permits and Visa on Arrival of foreign students;
• Share students information with other departments/units when required and
• Perform any other official duties assigned to you by your senior.
1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of a first degree in Public Administration with an experience of at least two years in Administration activities . An experience in administering students’ affairs will be an added advantage. An applicant should have computer knowledge / skills.
1.1.3 REMUNERATION

1.2 DRIVER II- 1 POST
1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive motor vehicles;
• Keep and maintain vehicles and accessories;
• Assist in vehicle minor repairs;
• Maintain record log – sheets;
• Collect and dispatch mail and
• Perform any other official duties assigned to you by your senior
1.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Possession of Form IV Secondary School Certificate with passes in
English and Kiswahili and Class “C” Driving license. An experience of at least three (3) years of driving experience without causing road accident. Must pass Trade Test Grade II in Motor Vehicle Electrical or Mechanics issued by NIT or VETA

2.1 THE AGENCY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT (ADEM),
The Agency for the Development of Educational Management (ADEM), formerly known as MANTEP Institute, was established under the Executive Agencies Act. No. 30 of 1997 in 2001. ADEM was established for the aim of providing regular and systematized educational management and administration training for all categories of prospective and existing education managers and personnel. ADEM also is mandated to conduct research and consultancy on education management and administration so as to advise ministries dealing with education on the proper management of education institutions.
2.2 PRINCIPAL TUTOR ( ENGLISH AND SWAHILI)- 1 POST
2.1.1 DUTY STATION- BAGAMOYO
2.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teach up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA level;
• Coordinates teaching activities and prepares learning resources;
• Conducts research and consultancy projects;
• Develops and reviews curricula;
• Supervises students projects and research works up to NTA level 8;
• Supervises and assists junior teaching staff;
• Assumes leadership roles; and Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisors
2.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Master’s Degree in English or Swahili who is eligible for registration as a technical tutor with at least five years (5 YRS) working experience.
• A candidate applying for this post must have first degree in English or Swahili subject with Education.

• Teaches up to NTA level 6 and may assist teaching in higher NTA levels;
• Administers examinations up to NTA level 6;
• Supervise and assist students in building up their research/projects;
• Develops and reviews curricula;
• Conducts research, consultancy and community services;
• Assumes leadership roles;
• Instructs students in the department;
• Supervises and assists junior teaching staff;
• Assists students in building up their practical projects; and
• Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Master’s Degree in Education management who is eligible for registration as a technical tutor with at least three (3) years working experience.

2.6 PERSONAL SECRETARY III- 1 POST
2.6.1 DUTY STATION - MBEYA CAMPUS
2.6.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Typing confidential and open letters;
• Taking care of all office facilities under custody;
• Answering correspondences involving routine matters;
• Checking office registers to ensure that they are well maintained;
• Receiving and directing visitors;
• Keeping records for events, appointment, visitors, dates for meetings, travelling schedules and other working schedules as planned and reminding his/her superior from time to time;
• Taking dictations by shorthand/ Hatimkato ;
• Delivering his/her superior’s directives to subordinate and giving feedback to him/her;
• Receiving, sorting and file mails;
• Initiating and maintaining own file system;
• Preparing agendas and making arrangements for various meetings;
• Receiving files, distributing to officers and collect them back to the registry after their use;
• Tracing files, circulars and any other things requested by his/her superior for office use;
• Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior;
2.6.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Ordinary/Advanced Secondary Education.
• Must have attended Secretarial Course and passed examinations from a recognized Public Service College.

2.7 ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - 2 POSTS
2.7.1 DUTY STATION- MWANZA AND MBEYA CAMPUS
2.7.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receives and keeps in proper custody all incoming bills and claims;
• Maintains primary books of accounts;
• Prepares payment requisitions, vouchers and cheques;
• Prepares journals voucher/batches for various activities;
• Maintains vote books and various register e.g. debtors, creditors, impress etc;
• Receives and pays out cash and cheques;
• Assists in preparation of bank reconciliation statements;
• Assists in preparation of reports, schedules and list of various expenditures;
• Prepares monthly trial balances;
• Maintaining accounting records;
• Checking the correctness of claims and retirement ensuring that they are supported by appropriate evidence/documents;
• Custodian of accountable documents;
• Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisor.
2.7.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from recognized Institution or University.
