Chemonics seeks experienced professionals for an anticipated four-year USAID-funded Feed the Future Tanzania Horticulture Value Chain Activity - MBOGA NA MATUNDA. This project will aim to increase productivity and profitability of horticulture value chains, while integrating larger numbers of women and youth, and will focus on the SAGCOT region and the Zanzibar islands. We are looking for individuals who
have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Please note that all positions are subject to program award. We are seeking mid- and senior-level candidates in the following fields:
Long-Term and Short-Term Specialists
Horticultural value chain development
Agricultural marketing
Farmer association development
Agro-processing
Business development and market linkages
Agricultural finance
Private sector development
Investment promotion
Agriculture and trade policy
Gender and youth empowerment
Nutrition and behavior change communication
Capacity building and training
Rural infrastructure and irrigation
Monitoring and evaluation
Finance and grants
Qualifications
Degree required in agriculture, economics, or relevant to the position
Minimum 5 years' experience promoting agricultural production and marketing in Tanzania
Proven track record in successful implementation of technical assignments and proven
managerial/supervisory experience
Prior experience with USAID highly preferred
Experience working collaboratively with the government of Tanzania, international donors, and local organizations .
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluency in English is required
