The role of Director of External Affairs is critical to the delivery of the organisation’s 2020 strategy. The Director of External Affairs will be the organisation’s global lead external representative on policy and technical accounting matters, especially (at a high level) on financial reporting, auditing and assurance.  S/he will work with a very wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, at an international level.

You will have the ability, confidence and credibility to engage with high-profile employers and decision makers on matters relating to technical and policy areas. Strong leadership and management experience will be essential. You will have deep technical capability in any accountancy discipline. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working successfully within complex environments, preferably in a multi-national/cultural setting.
