TIGO Core Network Planning Engineer

Role Purpose  You will be responsible to plan and design core network, this includes but not limited to the following nodes MSC, MSC-S, GMSC, MGW, HLR, BSC, AUC, and EIR expansion and monitor all routes and make appropriate recommendation to ensure availability. Key Responsibilities  Ensure interconnection for both internal and external networks are implemented smoothly. Define documentation for signaling, routing for both internal and external networks.  Monitor all interconnect routes – internal and external - and make appropriate recommendation to ensure availability with no congestion on any circuit  Predict future network trends, including all routes and how these will impact the Core Network. Think strategically and interpret market forecasts.  Core nodes hardware dimensioning and monitoring of recommended utilization threshold.  Participate in projects relating to Core Network – routing, signaling, upgrades, replacements etc  Plan the Core network by using proper tools and software with the aim of achieving high system availability and reliability to meet service requirements Position Requirements   B. Sc in Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering  Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning of cellular/core networks. APPLY
