We are looking for an experienced Director of Health Markets to join our Health Systems Department (HSD) based in Kenya.
Working within HSD, but with matrix relations within the Marie Stopes International (MSI) London office and country programmes, the Director of Health Markets will oversee MSI’s technical functions of Social Franchising and Health Financing and act as Director of African Health Markets for Equity partnership (AHME). The director position is responsible for evolving MSI’s organisational approach to health markets within national health systems and positioning MSI as a thought leader in this domain.
In this role you will build MSI's organisational capacity in Social Franchising and Health Financing. You will manage and evolve the Social Franchising Team and Health Financing Team to ensure effective and efficient support to country programmes and Conway Street functions. You will also assist with the implementation of the African Health Markets for Equity (AHME) Partnership and ensure internal MSI and external systems and processes are set in place for AHME to ensure sustained success over the initial 5 years.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• health services qualifications - MPH or relevant technical qualification
• extensive progressive work-experience, including evidence of leadership roles
• excellent presentation skills – ability to present complex information to a broad public in an accessible and professional manner
• experience of coaching and training
• knowledge of sexual and reproductive health.
