AMEX International is in search of an Evaluation Team Leader to be included on a bid for the Southern African Rangeland Grazing Training Evaluation project. This is a short-term consultancy opportunity with AMEX and will be executed in South Africa over a period of four months. The project is for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The incumbent will provide team management, guidance, direction, and administrative and technical assistance to the task order. S/he should have demonstrated broad evaluation team management experience (preferably in southern Africa) as s/he will be responsible for administering and managing the Task Order. Additional responsibilities will include technical leadership for, and supervision of, consultant staff; quality control and timeliness of all deliverables; and preparation and submission of the final report. Qualifications: A Master’s degree in a field related to the SOW A minimum of 12 years of senior level work experience relevant to the Task Order subject matter. Experience leading and managing complex evaluations in a development context is essential. Experience in evaluation of training programs will be an asset. An understanding of disaster risk reduction, livestock, livestock nutrition, grazing practices, community-based natural resources management, and the countries of southern Africa is preferred.
