BOC Tanzania is a subsidiary of BOC Kenya Limited which is a market leader in industrial and medical gases, welding equipment and consumables, medical equipment and related services. Candidates are sought to fill the following positions based in Mwanza and Dar es Salaam respectively.
The purpose of this role will be to identify new business opportunities for the company's products, manage a portfolio of major accounts and offer a wide range of BOC products and customer service.
The key Areas of Responsibilities:
Provide direction and guidance to ensure alignment with company growth strategies and financial results. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the region.
Prepare the annual business development plans focused on the growth agenda, follow up yearly targets and objectives, and determine new opportunities by analyzing business needs. Management of working capital i.e. stocks, debtors and cash.
Manage sales in Tanzania and improve business performance. Secure long term supply agreements with major customers.
Manage the products life cycle and replacement process including phasing, stock level, planning in conjunction with the relevant business areas.
Carry out market surveys and sales trends reviews to identify customers' needs relative to existing products and new products requirements. Identify potential business risks.
Develop and deliver business plans through carrying out research, formulate market analysis and deliver accurate business reports.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and creative solutions in application of company products in the industry.
Keep abreast with current market trends, monitor customer activities and gather market information, grow customer base, customer accounts, debt collection and sales budget.
Grow new business by indentifying gaps; improve profits through effectively optimizing pricing opportunities and implementing best commercial practices.
Ensure the value of BOC is correctly presented to customers through effective use and co-ordination of specialist resources from within the company.
Manage SHEQ including accidents/incident prevention, investigation and customer site safety. Participate in all company SHEQ programs.
The successful candidatewill be in possession of Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related discipline with 10 to 15 years extensive experience in sales and marketing. The incumbent will have ability to operate in a regional environment, with excellent communication skills and a track record of successful business accomplishments. Ideally the person will be customer focused and results driven, with high performance and team orientation. Business acumen, visible leadership, decision making, cross cultural communication and strong growth drive complete the profile for this position.
