PCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing disease, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. PCI Tanzania is concluding the initial phase of Food for Education (FFE) three years program in Mara region. In partnership with Bunda and Musoma Rural District Councils, and with support from the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA), PCI will implement an expanded, follow-on 3-year program (2013-2016).
This position will develop commodity management systems and coordinate logistics for commodity distributions from central warehouse to rural program sites including dispatch, transport and delivery. To design program interventions and coordinate implementation of activities to support school feeding activities at the school level including stakeholder buying and active participation. To oversee collection, analysis, and reporting of commodity and school feeding related data. To supervise Food Monitors in end use monitoring and stakeholder engagement at the school level. To oversee activities of the Warehouse Manager and Truck Drivers to ensure efficient operations and transport.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree in Logistics or Advanced diploma in material management or
equivalent
At least 5 years continuing experience in logistics activities
Commodity logistics systems and software management experience and skill. Planning and supervision of logistics activities in large and complex operations. Work with USG (USAID or USDA) commodity programs preferred.
Knowledge of ERP and other web based management system is an added advantage
