General Statement
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the job holders is responsible for management of Trade Finance and Swift operations and promote international trade finance of the bank as well as ensuring effective and efficient delivery of trade products. She/he will be responsible for product development, procedures refinement and reviews, training both staff and customer to ensure efficient and effective Customer service by timely action to customers' instructions.
Key Responsibilities
To sustain customer relations and enhance customer service to ensure greater Customer service satisfaction
Control bank losses related to international disputes on trade transactions by complying with incoterms.
To review continuously and develop procedures for Trade Finance and Swift operations to improve the efficiency in delivery of products and services, like, guarantees, lCs, DCs, cheques for collection etc.
To ensure settlement of all trade transactions on value date.
To ensure all outward and inward telegraphic transfers are processed promptly. To ensure correct Commissions and Charges are collected on daily transactions.
To ensure proper procedures are followed in the day-to-day running of the unit with bank guidelines being adhered to.
Monitoring of system/procedures to ensure they remain relevant in dynamic environment and suggest appropriate changes where necessary.
Oversee all banks'TISS and EAPS transactions and make sure we meet BOT cut off time.
Managing other payment methods like draft, cheques for collection, etc
Train all Swift and Trade finance users/staff from branches and HQ
Ensure comprehensive compliance
With all regulatory and statutory requirements as relevant for various product and services
Qualifications / Experience
Business related University Degree from a recognized institution. Masters degree will be an added advantage.
At least five years experience Banking Operations 3 of which should be in a supervisory position in Trade Services
Broad knowledge of Trade products
Knowledge in Trade and SWIFT operations and control
Knowledge of international businesses through correspondence Banks Knowledge of Regulatory requirements
