The Role:
Reporting to the Geita Depot Manager, The role will ensure effective management and administration of main fuel and Lubricants stocks, ensuring that core functions are effectively executed including issuing/receiving, stock taking, records maintenance, ordering, invoicing, product quality management, product loss control and reporting, ensuring standards and processes related to storage, movement of bulk fuels and financials are adhered to; will be a key player in interfacing logistics, stocks and financial controls, supply (in respect of supply-related issues) and Finance in respect of internal controls and external audit processes, thereby providing assurance that all relevant standards and practices relating to stocks are applied. The role is sensitive and requires a high level of integrity
Key responsibilities will include:
controlling stocks movements, maintaining stocks data, documentation and compiling reports for management use, accountable for stocks movement within the depot, ensuring integrity of stocks information; will evaluate and monitor stock processes regularly to ensure compliance and to (continuously) improve stock control environment, will manage and supervise contractors working under him/her to ensure excellent performance.
The Person:
Shall have a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent, a qualification in supply chain management is critical; shall have at least 3years work experience in inventory control within Oil & Gas environment.
Must have an excellent working knowledge of Ms Office applications, exposure to ERP is critical. Shall be attentive to details, analytical, excellent communicator, results oriented, able to work independently and in a team, must demonstrate high level of integrity. An excellent track record of successful career is critical
