Reports To:Secretary General
Job Purpose:Overseeing and facilitating the planning, co-ordination of programs/project activities, and monitoring and evaluation as well as produce periodic progress reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate in the strategic planning processes and play an active role in the development of strategic programme frameworks (annually, three or five years)
• Managing individual programme evaluations to ensure quality technical inputs and outputs
• Design implementation of large-scale monitoring and evaluation systems, including
programme impact assessment (programme baseline studies, etc)
• Playing a key role in resources mobilisation/ fundraising activities of the organisation through preparations of program/project proposals for submission to potential donors/funders
• Contributing to the development of knowledge based on programmes, through collection and documenting lessons learnt and best practices
• Planning and facilitation of training/capacity building activities on M&E for ALAT staff, members and selected partners.
• Providing methodological and technical support to the designing, monitoring and evaluation of different programmes/projects through developing/updating of monitoring and evaluation plans, systems and tools for the organisation.
• Quarterly Progress Assessment Reports in relation to how the organisation/programmes are performing in achieving its targets and objectives
• Periodically, prepare and submit progress report to donors and other relevant, including responding to queries.
• Participate in Management/Programme as well as selected Committee meetings
Qualifications:
Master of Arts in economics, statistic or equivalent
Work Experience:At least of 5 years working experience in similar position

Good communication skills in both written and verbal English & Kiswahili, M&E skills, demonstrated ability to plan, implement and manage project/programme activities, proven ability to facilitate strategic planning processes/sessions, good presentation skills; proactive and motivated self starter with ability to promote and provide quality advices to a range of staff and partners, ability to work in a team, excellent interpersonal skills proficiency in both written and spoken English, and good drafting skills
