Job Description
Fenix International (http://www.fenixintl.com) is seeking a highly motivated, creative and experienced business development associate to manage pilots in new markets and contribute to development of new leads in Rwanda. This person will work directly with the East Africa Regional Business Development & Sales Manager to support a product launch with a leading Mobile Network Operator in Rwanda, collect and analyze data from the field, and present results to senior management. This person may also contribute to development of new pilots and be requested to support pilots in other East African markets.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
• Closely support Fenix’s product launch with a leading Mobile Network Operator (MNO) in Rwanda
* Closely support product launch, monitoring, and evaluation with a leading Rwandan MNO, microfinance institutions, and other local distribution partners
* Plan, manage and conduct product trainings with sales teams
* Guide marketing and distribution of Fenix products in collaboration with partners to achieve sales and revenue targets
* Manage sales and scale pipeline by working closely with senior managers of local partners and East Africa Business Development & Sales Manager
* Collect, analyze and report feedback to contribute directly to Fenix product and business development strategy
* Work with East Africa Business Development & Sales Manager to contribute to forecasting future sales
* Interface with product technicians in Rwanda
* Manage Fenix’s Rwanda presence and product inventory
* Work with the MNO’s Marketing & Sales teams as well as microfinance partners to recommend product launch regions
* Collect baseline user data and present it to Fenix & MNO management
* Provide support when technical issues occur, which includes collecting data on the technical issues, discussing it with Fenix engineers and overseeing replacement or repairs to ensure pilot units are functioning well at all times
• Manage other Fenix support staff (if applicable)
Required Skills & Experience
• Three (3) years minimum work experience, ideally in business development, project management, mobile telecoms or renewable energy
• Leadership experience
• Experience managing projects in rural East Africa
• Ability to customize and clearly communicate the Fenix value proposition, including quantitative and qualitative benefits to the customer and the consumer, for written and verbal presentations to senior management
• Understanding of the telecommunications and renewable energy fields
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills (English)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Google Apps
• Ability and drive to work independently
• Bachelors degree
Desired Skills
• Business level competency of Kinyarwanda and/or French
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical product issues
