Preventing and addressing food and livelihood insecurity in crisis affected populations plays a crucial role in response and recovery programming for Save the Children. As part of the Humanitarian Technical Unit, the Humanitarian Food Security & Livelihoods team support high impact response programmes in more than 40 emergencies each year. As well as engaging in response and recovery food and non food input distribution, capacity building and market support, Save the Children promotes and practices innovative approaches to addressing problems and prides itself on designing effective hunger and livelihoods programmes based on carefully assessed needs.
Job Purpose
To ensure the delivery of high quality, timely and accountable humanitarian response which ensures children live without discrimination and enjoy their right to be free from hunger by providing direct support to programmes and developing common frameworks and policies and advocacy.
