The LAPF Pensions Fund is a social security institution affiliated to the President's Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (RALG). LAPF has its headquarters in Dodoma with zone and liaison offices in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Iringa Mwanza, Mtwara, Rukwa, Kahama, Tanga and Kigoma. LAPF activities have been steadily increasing recently and in response to that, the Fund is seeking to recruit dynamic, committed, honest, qualified individuals who are highly motivated, entrepreneurial-minded and result-driven professionals with proven good track record.
The available positions together with their specific requirements are as follows:Electrical Technician I (1 POST)
Job Purpose
Reports to the Projects Officer, the Electrical Technician will be responsible for supervision of maintenance and installation of air conditions, photocopies machine, generator and other electrical equipment in the Fund's offices ideal candidate for this position should have; Form IV/V National Examination Certificate with Trade Test Grade II or its equivalent from a recognized institution. The Trade test should be in the electricity field.
Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Technician I shall objectively:-
Qualification; Skills and Experience
(i) Provide technical assistance and resolution when electrical problems are encountered in the Fund buildings;
(ii) Install and maintain electrical control systems;
(iii) Conduct routine inspection and repair of electro-mechanical apparatus used as required;
(iv) Troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments;
(v) Perform regular preventative maintenance on electrical system equipment;
(vi) Assure availability of equipment, materials, and supplies;
(vii) Estimate time and material costs required for minor projects as may be required, and
(viii) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by superiors.

Water Technician/Plumber I (1 POST)
Reports to the Projects Officer The Water Technician/Plumber will be responsible for supervision of maintenance and installation of water equipment in the Fund's offices.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have; Form IV /VI National Examination Certificate with Trade Test Grade II or its equivalent from a recognized institution. The trade test should be in water/plumbing field.
Water Technician I shall objectively:-
