Based in the UK but with worldwide travel, MAG is seeking a Senior Community Liaison Advisor to join our IDET team. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be MAG’s most senior Community Liaison (CL) representative and play a central role in the development of our CL function. You will be responsible for promoting and improving quality, standardisation and accountability within the function as well as supporting the recruitment and development of CL staff. You will also play a key role in providing our integrated Programmes Team with CL expertise, from proposal development to monitoring and evaluation. You will also be expected to represent the organisation at the highest levels, with a focus on developing MAG’s community safety and security initiatives.
You will be able to use your experience in designing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating community liaison and risk education activities to provide training and capacity building to national CL staff. You will also have the opportunity to use your experience in the design and delivery of informal and formal training in the provision of CL support, through programme visits and remote contact. The successful candidate will therefore need previous experience of CL activities and an understanding of MAG’s work. Finally, you will be able work independently while being part of a geographically diverse team.
