The Director shall assist the Global Treasurer to complete development of and launch a shared service treasury solution for the financial challenges that face international relief and development organisations. The Senior Director shall be responsible for finalising the business plan by identifying an appropriate legal structure, improving market assumptions and clarifying the revenue model; generating interest among international relief and development organisations, financial institutions and government aid agencies; and working with other World Vision resources to make the business model a success.
WVI is looking for a financial entrepreneur with passion and experience in bridging the worlds of capital markets and global economic development in a manner consistent with World Vision’s Christian values and ethos.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead effort to refine and implement a treasury shared-service business model based on the initial business plan, financial model and concept as developed by Global Treasury.
- Work with internal World Vision departments to establish an appropriate legal, regulatory, insurance, and tax structure for the shared service treasury model.
- Lead marketing and implementation efforts with international relief and development organisations.
- Develop infrastructure, policies, and procedures for the operations of the shared treasury service.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- MBA in finance.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive, responsible experience managing and / or performing finance functions in a corporation or financial institution.
- Ability to demonstrate critical reasoning skills as they pertain to international relief and development organisations.
- Proven work experience in emerging markets preferred.
- Ability to innovate and provide collaborative project leadership as a member of World Vision’s Global Treasury department, reporting to the Global Treasurer.
