Volunteer Coordinator , Karatu, Arusha, Tanzania
We are looking for someone to manage our volunteer program and provide administrative support to Directors at FAME Medical, an outpatient clinic and small community hospital in rural Tanzania. Applicants should be willing to live and work on the FAME Medical campus, located in the District of Karatu, in the northern part of the country. The volunteer program hosts as many as 40 volunteers each year (a maximum of 6 at any given time). The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for responding to inquiries, scheduling volunteers, orientation and daily management of volunteers on the ground at FAME Medical, including working with local cooks and housekeepers to insure the volunteers' stay is comfortable. Additional duties include documenting volunteer experiences and managing social media for volunteer aspects of the organization. He/she must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication skills (oral and written) and be hospitality oriented. Familiarity with MAC OSX operating system is an advantage.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum commitment of 1 year (2 years preferred)
- Start date of October 1, 2013 (earlier start date if possible)
- Driver's license and ability to drive a manual or automatic vehicle
- Application deadline of August 25, 2013
Package:
- $300 per month stipend (paid in US dollars)
- Air fare travel allowance for each year of employment (up to $2,000 USD)
