MFX Solutions, Inc. is a company set up by microfinance funds and foundations to help the industry understand and manage currency and interest rate risk. About the Job:
MFX is looking for a Southern Africa Regional Trainer - Asset/Liability Management (ALM) to facilitate the rollout of a recently-awarded multi-year IFC-funded program focused on enhancing the capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) lenders in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The Trainer would provide training on financial risk management, asset- liability planning, and hedging to senior MFI executives in a variety of delivery channels including seminars and 1-2 week consulting engagements. This position will be based in the Southern Africa region and will deliver services in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana, and others, and will report to the director of technical assistance.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop new business through conference attendance, course facilitation, networking, and other methods;
- Deliver best practice group trainings as well as on-site, in-depth technical assistance engagements;
- Provide ongoing post-engagement technical assistance to MSME lenders;
- Actively promote suitable program clients to potential funders;
- Manage relationships with clients, funders, and other stakeholders;
- Ensure all targets and reporting requirements are met;
- Assist the MFX team in the delivery of new products and services.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience working in Africa-based financial services (banks, NBFIs, MFIs, etc.) in the area of treasury, finance, accounting, financial risk management, or technical assistance;
- CA/ACCA/CPA/CFA/Masters degree in business, finance, or accounting;
- Written and spoken fluency in English (English/French bilingual preferred);
- Ability to be based in the Southern Africa region and travel approximately 50% of the time;
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Detail oriented, efficient, and able to promptly meet deadlines.
