DUTY STATION:                Morogoro

1. PURPOSE STATEMENT OF THE JOB

·    To Organize and effect traffic/Shipping Activities for Finished Goods in Accordance to available customer requirements and Company policies

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  ACHIEVEMENT OF ANNUAL AND QUARTERLY  EXPORT TARGETS §  Makes Bookings or ensures that booking has been made to the shipping line and earliest possible vessel is selected 2.    SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT 2.1   Maintains Shipping Status, positions and updates. 2.2  Liaises with various stakeholders e.g. Tanzania Tobacco Board for export permits 2.3  Follow-ups on Documentation Processes with Agents §  Update Tax and TTB documents return files 3.   SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT AND CONTROLS 3.1   Receives shipping instructions, Issues preparation and Dispatch Instructions 3.2  Monitors and ensures regular updates of systems e.g. SAP 3.3  Ensures that correct data is inputted in Customer specific Supply Chain Management systems 3.4  Keeps and maintains records for specific Shipment and reporting 3.5  Checks shipping documents before originals are drawn by Forwarders. 3.6  Ensures that Invoices are cut on time and are dispatched to relevant customer 3.7  Ensures that Documents are dispatched to customer in timely manner and file closing process is completed 4.  SAFETY, HEALTH AND   ENVIRONMENT (SHE) §  Ensures that all tasks are performed according to company SHE standards; §  Performs any specific SHE tasks or responsibilities as given by the SHE coordinator.

3. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Tanzanian Examination Council ‘A’ levels
• A diploma in clearing & forwarding or equivalent is an advantage
• 2 to 3 years’ experience
• 3 to 5 without a diploma
