GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The monitoring & Evaluation Officer is responsible for monitoring and evaluation program objectives and activities executed under LEGAL AID Program-Kilindi ,Handeni ,Tanga City and Pangani district Located in Tanga Region. Under supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O), the incumbent will direct the M&E department to monitor progress, evaluate effectiveness and provision result of People supported with the Program. The incumbent will direct the development of Data collection systems and direct the collection, analysis and appropriate use of program data.
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (One Post).
Report to: Program Manager
Location: Kilindi, Handeni, Tanga city and Pangani.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES.
Keep records of women, Men and Children served and the kind and frequency of services provide.
Prepare and share reports Monthly, quarterly and annually to the board.
Monitoring Program Implementation.
Experienced on working with paralegals and provision of legal aid service to community.
Coordinate the development and implementation of legal aid standards service within the sustainable system.
Assist the Program Manager in implementing project activity.
Data collection Analysis to ensure individual files updated and organized.
Direct responsibilities on the implementation, follow up and supervision of all the activities in the field.
Work together in collaboration and good cooperation with local authorities especially on legal and development department.
Identify any deviation in the development of the project advising the program manager to possible changes.
Support Program manager elaboration of quarterly and Donors reports address.
Participate and present organization in meeting with local authorities in different levels.
Support capacity building for Paralegals at all levels in implementation of Legal Aid Program.
Desired Professional Qualification
Certification/qualification in degree /Advanced diploma in Information Technology, Economics, Social Science, statistics or a related field.
Minimum Three years experience with similar position.
Experience with LEGAL AID in implementation of project activities
Fluent in oral and written Kiswahili and English
Strong skills in MS skills, Word, Power Point and access, and at least one data management software program.
Be able to work with minimum supervision
Be willing to work in a remote area to support MVC.
