The Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP) was established as a Corporate Body under the Act of Parliament No. 8 of 1980 as a Higher Learning Institute for providing Training, Research and Consultancy services in the fields of Rural Development Planning. The Institute is registered by the National Council for Technical
Education (NACTE).
18.1 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT IN REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLANNING -
(1 POSTS)
18.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teaching up to NTA level 6 (Ordinary Diploma);
• Assists in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for students under close supervision;
• Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises;
• Assists in conducting research under close supervision;
• Carries out consultancy and community services under close supervision;
18.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor Degree /Advanced diploma in the relevant field with a GPA of 3.5 and above.
18.1.3 REMUNERATION
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary PHTS 6/7
18.2 ASSISTANT LECTURER-3 POSTS
• Development Finance biased in Finance and Accountancy -2 POSTS
• Statistics/Mathematics-1 POST
18.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct lectures up to NTA level 8 i.e. Bachelor Degree
• Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises
• Conduct research, seminars and case studies
• Carry out consultancy and community service
• Supervise student projects
• Prepare training manuals
18.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Master’s Degree in the relevant fields.
• Should have obtained a GPA of 3.5 and above in the undergraduate degree
• Experience in teaching in higher learning institutions will be an added advantage
18.2.3 REMUNERATION
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary PHTS 8/9
