PCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing disease, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. PCI Tanzania is concluding the initial phase of Food for Education (FFE) three years program in Mara region. In partnership with Bunda and Musoma Rural District Councils, and with support from the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA), PCI will implement an expanded, follow-on 3-year program (2013-2016).
Objective of the Position:
Food Monitors will coordinate and monitor commodity management and logistics systems at the school level to ensure efficient delivery of commodities; safe and hygienic storage and handling; equitable and accountable distribution to the end user; and timely and accurate records and reporting at the school level. To ensure all relevant stakeholders at the community level are engaged, informed, and trained to manage commodities and implementation of school feeding activities at the school level.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Community development, rural development or Social work
2-3 years experience of working with the community in development or humanitarian assistance projects, with a strong preference for experience in food aid programming Commodity management software and systems skills.
Have worked at supervisory level or food monitor or trainer
Experience of working with INGO in Food Aid projects is an added advantage
