Melbourne, Australia has been chosen to host the XX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014), the largest international meeting on HIV, where every two years over 20,000 participants representing all stakeholders in the global response to HIV meet to assess progress and identify future priorities. AIDS 2014 is organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS), in partnership with government, scientific and civil society partners in Australia and international partners from civil society and the United Nations. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the IAS is the world’s leading independent association of HIV Professionals. At this exciting and critical phase in the run-up to AIDS 2014, the IAS is seeking a seasoned Development and Fundraising consultant to support the dynamic AIDS 2014 secretariat in Melbourne, and to complement the fundraising efforts of the conference secretariat. Starting in August 2013 with the possibility of assignment extension until July 2014, the position will be part-time and flexible to full-time, and will report to the Relation Building and Resource Development unit of the International AIDS Society in Geneva.
