Basic Functions:
To assist the Information and Communication Technology Specialist manage the Information and Communication Technology functions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
She / He shall;
Develop TASAF Management Information System Reporting module timely;
Update Management Information System based on the design and requirements of TASAF;
Develop new databases as need arises;
Participate in the identification of MIS capacity building requirement at TMU, Regional and PAA levels and ensure availability of required training materials;
Provide technical support to TMU, Regions and PAAs
Define requirements to ensure compatibility of T ASAF MIS with systems of other stakeholders and partners.
Participate in the preparation of unit annual implementation plan and budgets.
Prepare monthly implementation progress reports of the unit.
Conduct performance appraisals of Management Information Systems Assistants using agreed upon performance indicators.
Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Information and Communication Technology Specialist
Qualifications:
Holder of a first Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or any other related field from a recognized university.
At least five (5) years experience in relevant field in Public and / or Private Sectors
Knowledge and skills in programming using either visual basic,
PHP, Java or any other relational database in client/server environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to supervise, train and coach staff in relevant skills
Self motivated with integrity and high level of confidentiality
Key Performance Measures:
Number of key staff trained and using core applications at TMU and PM level
Number of troubleshooting cases reported and resolved
Number of required databases and systems developed;
Availability of compatible TASAF MIS
Number of reports prepared and submitted timely;
Duration of Contract:Terms of Contract is 2 years renewable on the basis of performance

Management Information Systems Assistant (3 Posts)
Basic Functions:
To assist the Management Information Systems Officer to implement the management information systems activities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
She / He shall:
Undertake office automation and troubleshooting support to TMU and PMs;
Participate in supporting users in updating departmental databases;
Participate in tracking information technology assets;
Install applications and configure new computers ready for use;
Maintain computer network and hardware;
Make backup of files and archiving materials;
Carry out preventive maintenance of ICT equipment at TMU;
Participate in preparation of unit annual implementation plan and budget;
Prepare monthly implementation progress reports of the unit.
Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Management Information Systems Officer.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent qualification;
At least two (2) years experience in relevant field in Public or
Private Sectors;
Knowledge of computer communications, networking, and printer sharing;
Good knowledge of PC hardware & interfacing with peripheral devices (printers' scanners, etc.
Knowledge of operating systems and familiarity with database soft ware packages;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Self motivated with integrity and high level of confidentiality.
Key Performance Measures:
Number of helpdesk calls attended;
Number of preventive maintenance task performed per year;
Number of helpdesk calls resolved;
Average time taken to resolve IT problems;

Assistant Desktop Publisher
Basic Functions:
To assist the Development Communication Officer to implement communication development activities in the unit
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
She / He shall:
Format typescript and graphic elements using computer software to produce publication-ready material;
Check preliminary and final proofs for errors and make necessary corrections;
Operate desktop publishing software and equipment to design, lay out, and produce camera-ready copy;
View monitors for visual presentation of work in progress and for instructions and feedback throughout process, making modifications as necessary;
Prepare sample layouts for approval, using computer software.
Maintain copies of TASAF publications in print and lor electronic
Collaborate with graphic artists, editors and writers to produce master copies according to design specifications.
Participate in the preparation of unit annual implementation plan and budgets.
Participate in the preparation of progress reports on development communication activities;
Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Development Communication Officer;
Qualifications:
Diploma in Arts and Design or equivalent qualification;
At least two (2) years experience in relevant field in Public or Private Sectors;
Knowledge in computer software like Adobe Photoshop illustrator and page makers, Adobe in design
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Self motivated with integrity and high level of confidentiality
Key Performance Measures:
Existence of publication-ready materials;
Evidence of produced camera-ready copies;
Number of layouts approved;
Availability of copies of TASAF publications;

Assistant Graphic Designer
Basic Functions:
To assist the Development Communication Officer to implement communication development activities in the unit
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
She / He shall:
Design graphics to meet TASAF promotional requirements;
Gather relevant information for required designs;
Create and produce images and logos related to information
gathered;
Create layout for magazines, newspapers, newsletters, brochures and other print pieces;
Create layout for website and digital newsletters or email advertising
Produce credits for TV and films;
Use computer software to generate new images;
Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for various Project requirements;
Prepare illustrations for inclusion in presentations for forums;
Produce still and animated graphics for on-air and taped portions of various programs;
Prepare visual presentation by designing art copy layout.
Participate in the preparation of unit annual implementation plan and budgets.
Participate in the preparation of progress reports. on development communication activities;
Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Development Communication Officer;
