PATH's Malaria Control and Evaluation Partnership in Africa (MACEPA) partners with national governments to plan and evaluate malaria control program implementation. MACEPA is committed to developing tools and approaches that can be adapted and shared between and across malaria endemic countries to improve national capacity to scale up and maintain high coverage of malaria prevention and control interventions.
Reporting to the Senior Project Administrator based in Lusaka, PATH is currently seeking a Driver who will provide transportation and support field activities of an assigned project team. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Providing transportation and vehicle maintenance.
- Driving staff, project counterparts and consultants to project sites, workshops, meetings, and various events in, around, and outside of Lusaka.
- Performing or scheduling maintenance services and ensuring that project vehicles are clean and in proper working order.
- Following up with vehicle maintenance regulations and licenses and making recommendations to the Site Administrator for necessary actions.
- Ensuring vehicles have adequate petrol at all times using the office account.
- Maintaining a Driver's Log Book.
- Running office errands such as document delivery, mailing, banking, customs clearance, bill payment, office supply shopping, etc.
- Assisting with maintenance of the general office space such as furniture re-arrangement, minor repairs of office equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of Zambian highways and terrain.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Valid Zambian driver's license and clean driving record.
A minimum of two years driver's experience comparable to work required by Malaria Control and Evaluation Partnership in Africa is necessary.
