Dar es Salaam, 100% time at Mwananyamala Hospital
Contract Duration: One (1) year, with a possibility of renewal depending on the availability of funds
Job Objective
Data clerk is a member of the Mwananyamala Hospital Health Management team (HMT) of the MOHSW to assist the Mwananyamala hospital in the implementation of TB diagnostic at the Centers of Excellence (COE), with the aim to increase TB case detection among the pediatric population.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcription of patient visit information from paper-based TB/HIV related registers at different units of the COE into the database on daily basis.
Review relevant clinic records and perform paper-based data quality checks on cards and registers
Timely collect monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual data and submit to the TB COPE data manager for compilation with the support of the data manager, perform data quality assurance checks for the electronic data
Provide information to COE staff on patient appointments, and list of patients with missed appointments, lost to follow-up and update COE staff on final status of patients
Share the missed appointment and lost to follow up list with other facilities and community based organizations to facilitate the tracing of clients
Assist the CHMT in all Pediatric TB/HIV data-related requests and reporting
Attend on site data review sessions by ICAP Tanzania M&E staff and attend regular M&E training workshops, as requested. Perform other duties related to TBCOPE data as assigned by the supervisors
Duty station: 100% time at Mwananyamala hospital
Minimum qualifications:
The successful candidate should hold Diploma in Computer applications, extensive knowledge of MS Access is a requirement
Must hold a certificate of Advanced or Ordinary Secondary education with passes in Mathematics and English.
Working experience and familiarity with the health system and hospital medical records in computerized sites is highly preferred
Knowledge in computer applications especially data management
Ability to write reports and meet deadlines
