Provincial Representative -- Nampula

Provide leadership in the integrated management of all projects and development programs and make coordination with project managers and programs to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and quality of programs. Develop, coordinate and review all aspects of the needs of projects in order to ensure good quality and efficiency of programs. Serve as a catalyst in promoting the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of World Vision Mozambique, national and international context.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide leadership in the overall planning and implementation activities in the province, work closely with project managers / programs / departments, and with the directors / specialists of projects / programs / departments.
• Provide team leadership for the overall oversight and supervision of the WV-Nampula Programs and projects at provincial level.
• Coordinate and Ensure close coordination of World Vision Mozambique, in development with government authorities, donors, visitors and other stakeholders.
• Assist the provincial team and projects/programs managers in successfully, monitoring and supervision of the program.
• Support them in establishing and maintaining high standards in all planned activities and ensure supervision to provincial staff in order to support the activities at field level
• Represent WV-Mozambique/Nampula in meetings and other events with the Government and other agencies as well as dialogue with relevant stakeholders as necessary. Network with other NGO and Government representatives in order to establish a link to work together.
• Analyze and report on progress in term of achieving results, using existing monitoring and evaluation tools and introducing new mechanisms and system. Identify constraints and resource deficiencies and recommend corrective action.
• Provide Support and mentoring to ensure that staff has opportunities to develop their knowledge and kills. Ensure that new staff is given appropriate orientation and training on all WV standards.
• Encourage implementation of WV core values in the lives of project staff and program interventions, in accordance to WV mission, vision and strategic priorities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:
• Possess higher education in the social sciences, development or other related field.
• Good interpersonal relations and a spirit of teamwork.
• Sensitivity to cultures.
• Excellent communication skills and coordination, and ability to prioritize and coordinate activities effectively.
• Possess a clear understanding or demonstrate willingness to learn about the prospects of the largest donors and Support Offices to World Vision, their requirements and standards.
  
  PREFERRED:
• At least 5 years relevant experience in development.
• Team work skills.
• Organization and training methodologies
• M&E Skills
• Skills for supervision
• Follow-up Monitoring and evaluation and proficiency on English.
