The International Department of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is embarking on an exciting phase of development to improve child healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa.
This work includes a new volunteer exchange programme between UK and African doctors and a significant scale-up of our work in emergency healthcare for African children. As a result, we are now recruiting for someone to lead and implement the emergency healthcare project.
This is centred on the Emergency Triage Assessment and Treatment Course (ETAT+) as developed by the World Health Organisation and the Kenya Paediatric Association.
The post holder will manage and deliver this project under the supervision of the Head of Department and the International Officer (elected clinician for international work).
The post is 0.5 WTE, is based in Nairobi, Kenya and is for two years and nine months.
The post is grade 6 and the salary offered for this post ranges from £34,897-£42,457 pa pro rata. (All appointments are usually made at the first point of the above range as per the College's salary scale.)
