We are currently recruiting a Research coordinator to initiate and manage high quality global research in our newly extended Program Policy & Practice Team.
About the role
- Planning global research in support of the development of guidelines, policy and position papers, program development and organisational learning
- Administrating a research budget to ensure that Plan’s research activities deliver the intended results
Main responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of research in support of policy development, program development and organisational learning, from initiation through to completion
- Developing and maintaining partnerships and inter-institutional collaboration in support of Plan’s research
- Managing consultants and research partners to ensure that research that is outsourced is of high, international standard
- Developing and promoting research protocols to ensure that research across Plan meets high standards.
- Assessing the effectiveness of research activities against specified key performance indicators
- Distributing global research findings intended for technical networks and external audiences, in close collaboration with the Global Information Resources Coordinator and the External Relations and Communications Team
About you
- Ability to initiate and manage to completion research and its dissemination to target audiences
- Conceptual and strategic thinking
- Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Statistical skills desirable
- Master’s or Doctoral level degree
- Relevant experience in research
- Experience of working in developing countries desirable
Languages
Excellent English both written and verbal
A Second language is desirable (preferably French or Spanish)
Location and Travel
The post is based at our International Headquarters in Woking Surrey
