Violence against women and girls is a global crisis, already affecting one in three women in their lifetime, devastating their lives and fracturing communities. The worldwide Enough campaign team focuses on challenging discriminatory social norms that perpetuate and condone violence against women and girls.
Oxfam International is looking for an experienced women’s rights campaigner to accompany countries engaged in the Enough campaign across Africa to develop strong national campaigns and support countries and regions to set the strategic direction of the worldwide campaign.
The successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of violence against women and girls in Africa and strong commitment to intersectional feminist principles; experience in national or regional campaign experience; experience of accompaniment/ supporting others to develop and deliver campaigns and experience of working with women’s rights organizations / feminist movements in Africa.
Fluency in English required and other languages, particularly French and Kiswahili, an advantage.
