LABORATORY PROJECT OFFICER- 1 POSITION
REPORTS TO: LABORATORY SERVICE MANAGER
Job summary:
Laboratory project officeris a self-motivated individual who will provide organizational and oversight tothe implementation of various activities to strengthen laboratory service deliveries in the MDH supported sites. He / She will be responsible to ensure smooth execution of activities of the laboratory EQA project and ensuring a remarkable increase in the capacity of laboratories to perform quality laboratory testing for infections by HIV, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other opportunistic diseases.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical and adminstrative assistance to strengthen EQA project activities for HIV, CD4, Viral laod and TB
Oversees the Laboratory Quality Assurance Program. Ensures that consistent quality control and laboratory procedures are followed.
Building capacity through mentorship of laboratory personnel and organize coaching sessions for site level staff using currently recommended national curriculums and advance curriculums
Reports non-conformance events to Laboratory manager and initiate corrective and preventive actions immediatley to avoid adverse effects on quality of the projects
Prepare and participate in the quality improvement activities aimed at supporting laboratories and testing sites towards providing better services on areas of EQA andHIV related diagnostic services.
Collaborate with National, regional and district level Laboratory advisors to build capacity for laboratories to provide quality and reliable services
Promote biosafety and good laboratory practices in all MDH supported sites
Ensure that SOPs, laboratory manuals, guidelines, worksheets and forms are being appropriately utilized at all sites and assist in the modification of these forms whenever appropriate.
Facilitate Reporting by preparing quarterly, semiannually and annually narrative reports to be submitted to key stakeholders.
Organize and conduct supportive supervision visits to facilities with regards to EQA andHIV related diagnostic services.
Collect, compile, verify, analyze laboratory data for EQA and general laboratory services and generate reports.
Carry out any other responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in biomedical laboratory sciences or Masters will be an added advantage
Three or more years of experience working in HIV/AIDS care and treatment program
Experience working with CHMT

Sample Referral Officer-1 POSITION

Job Summary
Sample referral officer organizes collection and distribution of PT materials, work with procurement department to source for laboratory reagents and supplies for External Quality Assessment (EQA)
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate with district and regional medical officers to facilitate collection of samples referral data
Work with Couriers to facilitate sample transportation
Liaise with laboratory managers and quality officer at collection hubs to resolve any sample referral issues and strategize on system improvement
Communicate with participating facilities to coordinate supportive supervision visits and provision of technical support
Organize and control laboratory reagents and supplies inventory for MDH supported laboratories
Assist project coordinator to organize stake holders meetings
Oversee custom clearance and communicate with international vendors regarding the required documents for custom clearance
Liaise with purchasing officer to facilitate procurement of laboratory reagents and supplies

TB/HIV /ART Senior Officer (TBHV/ART-SO)-1 Post
Location: MDH Headquarters at Dar es Salaam
Reports to: TB/HIV&ART services Manager (TBHV/ART– M)
The TB/HIV & ART Senior Officer (TBHV/ART-SO) is a self-motivated individual who will assist the TB/HIV&ART services Manager (TBHV/ART–M) to provide oversight to Program activities with the different partners including the project sites. He/She will responsible to the TBHV/ART–M and will work in close collaboration with the District technical teams and other program managers.
Duties:
The TBHV/ART-SO is responsible to assist TBHV-M for ensuring that MDH supported program meets national standard for TB/HIV collaborative initiatives by:
o Providing TA in implementation of national standards for TB/HIV and other infectious diseases at Dar es Salaam districts
o In cooperation with MDH’s Training and Capacity Building department (TCB), the TBHVART-SO will collaborate with CHMTs to identify training needs for sites, districts and regional personnel and organize trainings for site level staff using currently recommended national curriculums

JOB POSITION: DATA MANAGER-1 POSITION
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SYSTEM STRENGTHENING AND

Duties
Prepare data management annual activities work-plans for all MDH projects
Coordinate trainings and mentorships of data clerks
Supervise districts data coordinators on day to day basis
Ensure all MDH active databases are update daily
Provide leadership in generation and production of reports outputs of ongoing projects for donor reporting purposes.
Develop and manage MDH databases for any upcoming projects
Review and update MDH data entry manual for all MDH data collection systems
Convey quarterly meetings with data clerks to review progress of data entry in all MDH supported sites
Present data management activities and progress on weekly basis
Supervise data quality assessments activities
Actively participate in publication of at least one peer reviewed journal each year
And all other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics and other related social science field. Masters degree will be an added advantage.
Four to five years experience in data management; experience in working with PEPFAR funded projects will be an added advantage.

Community-based integrated Service Delivery Advisor (CBDA) - 1 posts
Location: Kilombero district.
Reports to:Regional Technical Manager.
The Community-based integrated Service Delivery Advisor is a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for providing oversight to Community based HIV care and support services activities with the different partners including the project sites. The CBDA main objective is to guarantee the technical performance of the USAID BORESHA AFYA PROGRAM supported Community based HIV care and support services in the respective region. She/he will responsible to the Regional technical Manager and will work in close collaboration with the relevant regional and district level health management teams and the USAID BORESHA AFYA PROGRAM supported facilities
Duties:
Lead the implementation of the Community based HIV care and support services within the district/ wards as per USAID BORESHA AFYA PROGRAMworkplan.
Work closely with the R/CHMT in organizing sensitization meetings at the district and facility level on BCC to address risk reduction behaviors
Work closely with R/CHMTs in the scale up of Home based HIV testing (HBTC) services to community, index partners& sibling of HIV infected persons and children through sensitization and training of HCWs.
Ensures that USAID BORESHA AFYA PROGRAM supported sites implement integrated referral and tracking systems to minimize the loss to follow up of ART clients through improving evidence linkages between health facilities and community.
Collaborate with R/CHMTs to identify training needs for community based personnel and organize using currently recommended national curriculums
